Exhibition with members of the Sami Artist Association.

The exhibition is opened by Henrik Olsen from the Sami parliament council.

Music by Georg Buljo Duo.

The exhibition has free entrance throughout the exhibition period

until 31.03.2020.

13:00 "OKTO", exhibition opening, UiT Campus Alta

 

OKTO is an exhibition in the glass hall and outside the main entrance. Both new and long time SDS members exhibit their works. The exhibition is named after the sculpture Okto by Aage Gaup. The exhibition is a public art project which is supported by KORO (Public Art Norway).

Book about Sami Artist Group, Mázejoavku. Indigenous Collectivity and Art. Author Susanne Hætta in conversation with Hanna Horsberg Hansen, Associate Professor of Art History, UiT.

Mázejoavku. Indigenous Collectivity and Art is authored by Susanne Hætta with advisory comments by Gunilla Bresky, edited by Katya García-Antón, and with essays by Hætta, García-Antón and Candice Hopkins. It is published by Office for Contemporary Art Norway and DAT AS.

16:00  Exhibition opening "40 jagi", the Culture House SISA

Exhibition with members of the Sami artist association: Josef Halse, Ingunn Moen Reinsnes, Gjert Rognli, Lene E. Westerås, Hanne Grete Einarsen, Fred Ivar Utsi Klemetsen and Susanne Hætta. 

The exhibition will be opened by visual artist Trine Noodt.
